So you’re registered - welcome to the AOM dance fam!
Here’s everything you need to know for an easy, fun start to dance class.
What to Expect at Your First Class

Arrive at The Art of Motion, and say hello at the front desk. If your dancer is age 2-10, plan to wait in the lobby with them until their class begins.

A quick trip to the restroom is a great idea! Then your dancer’s teacher will call them to line up in the lobby and head back to class. Don’t forget their dance bag!

This is when the fun begins! Your dancer will begin class, and you can wait in the lobby to watch on the tv’s. You’re also welcome to run grab a coffee or visit the nearby shops!

After class is done, you’ll meet your dancer in the lobby for pick up. This is a great time to celebrate them and get excited about what they learned!

Before you go, check your dancer’s bag - do they have everything? *Labeling shoes with first and last names is super helpful!

Helpful Reminders
We strive to offer exceptional dance training that inspires confidence in every one of our students. To ensure an effective learning environment, we ask that parents remain outside the classroom. Here’s how you can help, especially if you have a younger student:
Follow our dress code. We have everything you need at the studio if you’d like to come shop before your first class!
Please assist your dancer in visiting the restroom before class begins.
Arriving on time is important, as late arrivals can be disruptive to both the dancer and the class as a whole.
Please pack a water bottle - visiting the water fountain (and restroom breaks) during class can waste lots of valuable time!
Label all shoes and personal items with both first and last name.
Our team is one of the best in the state! We’ll do our part to make sure you and your dancer have an awesome experience at AOM. As a parent, your role in your child’s dance education is equally important! Your support is invaluable, especially your encouragement.
